Home for Rescue of the Afflicted Children (HORAC/Nepal), established in July 18, 2005 A.D(2062/4/3 B.S), is a non-for-profit social organization. It is completely registered with the Nepal Government and the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. The main organization’s main purpose is to provide helpless and needy children, especially those who lost one or both of their parents in the years of conflict in Nepal, with the opportunity to have a proper life and to receive care and love. HORAC/Nepal aims to provide all of the children under its care with a good education and a high level of guidance, so that they are all able to grow to be assets to their communities. Poverty and conflict have been the main factors that have left many children abandoned and homeless in our country. Many have been detached from their homes and parents and are therefore compelled to pass their life on the street as street children, beggars, child labourers without any family to assist them. Keeping sight of our obligation to each other, HORAC/Nepal has set specific goals and objectives to help care for those children deprived of the basics in life. It aims to build bright futures for all the children by providing education and by preserving their rights and privledges. Click: www.weeshuisinnepal.nl to view the website in “Dutch” Language.
